ICHEC 2025 AMA Student Mentoring Lunch Program

We are delighted to introduce the ICHEC 2025 Ask Me Anything (AMA) Student Mentoring Lunch Program!

The goal of this program is to provide early-career students and researchers with broader access to resources that will help them navigate the ICHEC community and their broader career in Human-Computer Interaction research domain. The primary objective is to offer opportunities for in-depth research discussions while fostering an environment where participants can connect with mentors and peers in a friendly and casual atmosphere.

This year's Student Mentoring Program will be held in-person as an AMA Student-Mentor Lunch Program during the conference lunch breaks on Nov 21st and 22nd. This is an in-depth mentoring opportunity for undergraduate, Master's and Ph.D. students, where you will have the chance to ask questions, discuss your ongoing research, or talk about career development opportunities with faculty mentors and senior HCI researchers.


Event Details

  • Time: During the lunch breaks on Day 1 and Day 2 of the ICHEC 2025 conference.
  • Format: We will match you with a preferred mentor based on your choices. You will have lunch with your mentor and 1-2 other students for an informal discussion lasting approximately one hour.

How to Apply

Participation in this program is by invitation only. Interested students must submit an application via the online form before the deadline.

  • Notification of Decision: November 14, 2025

Selection Process & Important Information

Selection Process: After the deadline, all applications will be reviewed by the Student Mentoring Program committee. Our goal is to support students who will benefit most from this opportunity. The selection process will prioritize these applicants while also aiming for diversity in student backgrounds, research topics, and geographic locations.

Seat Allocation: To ensure diversity, we may limit the number of accepted students from the same institution or research advisor.

Confidentiality: All your application materials will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used for the review and organization of this program.

Important Note: The Student Mentoring Program is a part of the ICHEC 2025 conference. All invited participants are responsible for their own conference registration, travel, and accommodation costs.

选拔流程与须知

选拔流程：报名截止后，学生导师计划委员会将对所有申请进行审核。我们希望能借此机会帮助到最需要指导的同学，因此选拔过程将优先考虑那些能从本次活动中获益最多的申请者。同时，我们也会尽力确保参与学生的背景、研究方向和地域分布的多样性。

席位分配：为确保多样性，我们可能会限制来自同一机构或同一导师的入选学生数量。

信息保密：我们将严格保密您的所有申请材料。您的个人信息仅会用于本次活动的审核与安排，绝不会向第三方泄露。

重要须知：学生导师计划是 ICHEC 2025 会议的一部分，所有受邀参加者需自行负责会议的注册、差旅及住宿费用。
